Macbook Pro, some keys not working.

Now after searching I think the WHOLE of the net I still cannot find a fix.

Yesterday my SHIFT+. which gives me the greater than sign has stopped working. Also the SHIFT+/ which would give me a question mark.

Now SHIFT+(anything else) WORKS, whats going on. I have tried all keyboard settings, modifiers and the text to speech trick. Nothing works, this one single character is so important as Im currently coding a website. External keyboard tried to no avail. Please help. Responses very much appreciated.
