Upgraded to Windows 10 and Itunes cannot locate IPhone or IPod

Hi, I bought a new laptop, didn't realise windows was upgrading on Wednesday and stupidly put Windows10 on it

I have uploaded the most recent version of ITunes, and it has located my shuffle but cannot detect my IPhone 5C or my really old IPod, think its a classic not sure model, think the first to play video

Can anyone tell me how to get my ITunes to find these, I bought this new laptop as I had messed up ITunes on my old one and it was knackered, I got this so I could upgrade my IOS on my phone

Please make it as uncomplicated as possible, I am not that IT fabulous. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling ITunes, I also clicked the trust button that comes up on my IPhone so my laptop knows its there, just not ITunes
