Is it better to buy an iPhone or get it on contract?

Is it more cost effective to buy an iPhone outright or is it better to get it on a contract?

Hi

it Depends if you want to pay £ 629.00 if you pay cash

If you are going to use a credit card

Then i would have one on contact

Pay part payment up front then about £36.00 a month

The more you pay now the less you pay monthly .

Cheers

"Cost effective" depends totally on how and with what carrier you wish to use the phone. Without knowing where you live or what your intentions are, there's no way anyone here can offer any informed opinions.

Just to make sure, getting a phone with contract will restrict you to use with a single cell service provider. This usually comes as part of a contract with the carrier where the carrier pays part of the cost of the phone at the time of purchase. Buying a phone outright (unlocked) will not restrict you to any specific carrier. For that capability, though, you have to pay the full cost of the phone when you purchase. When going on trips internationally, you can use international SIM cards without any problem, whereas the locked phone wont even work with international SIM cards.
