No Service with O2 SIM card

I have an O2 SIM card in my iPad with a mobile data contract that appears to be working on the O2 system. I can't get a mobile data service on the iPad from any antennae, even when sitting next to a perfectly serviceable antenna showing 4G on my O2 equipped iPhone.


How can I check what's not working for me with the O2 SIM card to be getting the No Service indicator on the top left corner of the screen?


I can log in and check the Mobile Data Account with O2 from the iPad over wifi and that all looks ok, so something must be at fault on the iPad or the SIM card.
