I use a Mid 2012 Mac Book Air. I had a working iMovie during the purchase, but after the clean reinstall i lost the Software..
I had updated iMovie to latest version before the clean OS installation , and it worked fine..
Is there anyway i can get back the license.. ?

The iMovie 10 licence belongs to whoever's Apple ID was used to purchase it or was used to register it after the purchase of the new computer. If it was your Apple ID then you should be able to re-download it from the Apple Store. Since you were able to update it this seems to be the case.

I've got the same problem as Nethan, and when I try to re-download it from App Store it says I have to pay. And yes, I am logged in with the same account as the one used to register my Mac when I first bought it.

This happened to me recently with Numbers. I made a note to try to figure it out and when I got around to looking into it, Numbers was available for download again. I don't know why but advise keep trying. You might try forcing the issue by signing out of, and back into the Store in iTunes
