Q: My MacBook Pro stopped connecting to the TV via HDMI overnight

My MacBook Pro just simply stopped connecting to the TV overnight.  I was using it to watch Netflix on tv last night and then this morning it would not show the computer screen on the TV.  However, it still works for my father's MacBook Pro.  The fact it worked for my father's MacBook Pro but not mine worries me that the problem is with my computer.  It seems to just have stopped working overnight.  I did not change anything about my computer like a software update etc.  Just stopped working.
