every 5 seconds or so my iPad asks me to sign into my wife's iCloud account - of course i can not as i don't know her password! i am also getting her contacts and diary on my iPad. how can this have happened and how can i get it off?

When you go to Settings>iCloud, is it your ID that you see signed in?

no, its her's but i can not get it off! just keeps asking me to sign in....which i can not do.
HAve you tried to go into settings->icloud scroll down and click sign out ?
yes, i have, but it asks me to sign into her iCloud in order to turn off 'find my iPad'...

Are you sharing the same Apple ID if you are thats the problem
You both need your own Apple ID

OK, so you are going have to get her password so you can sign in and turn off Find My iPhone so you can sign off her iCloud account. Until you sign in and then sign it out you are going to continue to have problems.

Most welcome. Once you get your own iCloud ID signed on, you will not be prompted to sign on to hers anymore.
