When I go to buy a book from Iphoto, the red, yellow and green colors disappear

I have a 5-year old MacBook and have used its iPhoto program to make several books in the past. Currently, when I wish to order my book, when I click the Buy Book button, the three colored (red, yellow, green) circle buttons in the top left corner are not colored and I am not able to finish ordering my book. How can I fix this glitch?

MacBook (13-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.6.8)
