The superdrive of my iMac (mid 2011, V 10.10.3) cannot burn. I tried to burn with Toast V 11 and Mac's own DVD writer but nothing happened. Can anybody help?

TRy the free burn app from app store called burn maybe the time has just come for your optical drive to go to the erternal buring fields
Please provide details on exactly what happens when you attempt to burn. This will help the users trying to help. Thank you.

Another help source (if you haven't already done so).
Go to your OS Help Menu. In the search field type dvd
Click on all the troubleshooting topics & Support Articles that pertain to your issue.
You can also do the same in Disk Utility. Open same up.
At the bottom left of the window, click on the purple button w/the "?" in the middle.
This will bring up the Help Menu.
