IF my computer has been hacked do I need to worry about changing my Apple password?

So do i need to assume all of my passwords have been accessed

Unless you know and can explain exactly what afflicted your Mac and exactly what the "Mcafee tech" did to it, yes. "Spyware" can imply a number of different phenomena whose effects range from innocuous to malicious. So does "hacked". Specific problems require specific solutions, and "cleaning out spyware" is overly vague to draw any conclusions that can be acted upon. In the future consider calling AppleCare. Single incident support costs $29 US.
