I have a Mac osx 10.6.8 and have iphoto '08 version 7.1.5. Question; How can I easily determine how many photos I have stored on my computer.

It should show the total at the bottom of the iPhoto window.

But with Snow Leopard you should be running version 9.2.3 of iPhoto.
