Trouble connecting to cisco anyconnect

I'm trying to access my work server from home using the cisco anyconnect app. Whenever I try to connect I get the error saying "Login denied, unauthorized connection mechanism, contact your administrator". Any thoughts as to what could be causing this? I'm running OSX 10.8.5.
