Yesterday I purchased 3 movies to sync to my daughter's iPod Classic. I'm getting an error message whenever I try to sync the movies AND an already purchased music video that the video format isn't accepted by this iPod??? Could this be related to the new iTunes?

Possibly. It seems the latest version of iTunes may see some video formats as incompatible with the classic which earlier builds would have synced. Use the report a problem links in your account history to contact the support staff who should be able to confirm if the videos are meant to be compatible.
