iPhone4s fails to show recents on hands free

I have Kufatec Basic + installed in my Golf MK6. My iPhone4s has no problems pairing with the system and picks up my phone book straight away. However, when I scroll to Recent Calls, Answered Calls or Missed Calls, I always get an Empty List. Has anyone had a similar issue and found a solution? I've tried factory re-setting the hands free unit and rebooting the iPhone , all to no avail.
