iTunes forgets my settings

I have iTunes 12 installed on 2 computers (one with Windows 10 and the other Windows 8.1), and I have a Synology NAS DS209+. My music library is on the NAS.

Everytime I open iTunes on either computer I have to navigate to the NAS, and navigate to 'songs'. I then add the 'Album Artist' column to the song list, as that is how I like to sort.

Once I exit iTunes, and I go back again, all of those settings are lost. I have to again navigate to the NAS, navigate to 'songs', and add the 'Album Artist' column.

This makes iTunes VERY tedious to use. How can I make sure that iTunes remembers these settings?
