If you are getting email in your SBCGlobal account when it is sent to your iCloud email, it seems likely that iCloud is set up to forward such emails automatically. This article explains both how this is done and how to turn it off - iCloud: Forward all messages automatically

Thanks Brett. Sure enough...I signed on to iCloud and the mail was all forwarding to my sbcglobal.net address. That solves my problem of all the duplicate emails on my phone. Thanks so much. Stopped in at Apple a couple of times but no one figured it out.
