Q: iWeb HTML snip it is not updating correctly when new code replaces old. The old code still shows up.

I Was updating an HTML snipit which I do all the time. This time when I delete the old code and paste in the new coding it still uses the old code. even when I delete the snipit and save the changes and publish to a folder, then go back and drag a new snip it and paste in the new code it still uses the old code.  The old code is not being erased and the new code is not being pasted into the snipit.

The only thing that has changed since I have updated a snipit is that my hard drive failed and was replaced.  I recovered from my Time Capsule and now am having this trouble. I used to update this snipit all the time.

Any suggestions?

iWeb '08, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

Have you tried clearing your browser cache?  That might help.

Also, are you really still using iWeb 08?  If so it is not compatible and you need to ensure you are using iWeb 09 instead.

Apple no longer supports iWeb or sells it and has not for at least the past 3 years, so if you want iWeb 09, you will have to purchase it from Amazon by purchasing either the iLife 09 or iLife 11 boxed set.

Time to move on to other newer software perhaps?

Yes I clear my cache. however I am publishing to a local folder on my computer. I the past, when I made a change it was instantaneous in iWeb even before I saved the changes.
