Why does the new apple photo book themes, only seem to cater for up to 6 photos per page maximum? The older themes seemed to have more options in regards to number of photos per page and text. Is there any way I can either go back to old themes, or put more photos on each page?

The Picture Book Themes allow up to 16 photos per page and the Travelogue Themes up to 9 photos.
When you check a theme for the number of photos per page, make sure, you do not have the title page selected. The max. number of photos on the title page is lower then inside the book.
Tthanks to you both for your responses. I get it now. I think I had the curser on the title page. Do you find it 'slippery' though? Trying to move photos around seems harder than before because the pages 'slip' quickly. Not sure if this makes sense.
It is harder to move pages around, they escape, before they have been moved all the way, because it takes to long to scroll through a large number of pages, that's true. The worst is moving the pins on the maps.
Photos 2 is still under development. So sending feed back to apple will help to point out clumsy features.
New photo book themes are too prescriptive.
