Why is it that right after I installed software update - iTunes 12.2.1, I then get the notifications of having a new software update of the same version. I just checked iTunes and it appears that I have the most recent update of iTunes already?
Does anyone have the same issue? any help? See screenshot.
12.2.1.16 is the latest version. Do you have that? What happens if you tell it to install again? If you have the latest version and it works, you could just ignore the update message.

Instead of ignoring that, it looks like the Mac App Store installer is not working properly. Try downloading and installing iTunes 12.2.1 again from the Apple website and check updates again.

What outage? 😕 The Mac App Store is working as usual, but it seems that there is something wrong on the OP's Mac that is causing the issue.
