Just purchased 21.5" iMac, non retina display, 1TB of storage with quad core 2.7..should i have waited?

I just recently purchased the 1299 model of the 21.5 iMac, non retina display. Love it so far I must say..however I read that iMacs with a 4k display are possibly coming out in time for the holidays this year. Did I make a mistake in purchasing this, and not waiting? Is the higher res display worth it? Opinions please!
