My iphone5s data cable melted, What to do?

While charging my iphone suddenly the tip of the cable which is connected to the phone got heated, immediately I unplugged the cable form my iphone. After a few minutes the Lightenning connector side got melted. Can you please suggest what should I do?

Contact Apple Support and report the problem. They are usually very interested in situations like this especially if it is their cable and their charging brick.
