App hung when updating

Was updating an app "TouchDraw" to my iPad... When it just hung and don't go any further... Have tried to delete the app but it can't be deleted from the iPad..maybe from iTunes .. I don't know? Have tried to do the update ..but it sticks at the same spot..and just loading...or in Swedish "hämtar". Andy suggestion on what to do? Have contacted the developer..and cant do anything since it's happening in AppStore.
