bootcamp to upgrade to Windows 10

no an update will be done inside of the bootcamp envioment and OS X and the boot loader will not know it even happens

though there are no official bootcamp support so no drivers for windows10 for all the apple stuff you can go here Boot Camp

and see peoples experiences and judge if you wish to do it before the bootcamp drivers get released.

I don't even get the ready to update on my machine (WIN 7 in Bootcamp). Was wondering if it was due to it being on IMAC, or if i'm still in the waiting line.

Well, I upgraded my MacBook Pro to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1 the first day it was launched, and the upgrade went without any issue. I only had to reinstall Boot Camp drivers after upgrading (brightness and volume keys were not working properly), but after that Windows 10 worked just like Windows 8.1.

Make sure you have installed all important and optional updates through Windows Update. Note that you have to be running Windows 7 Service Pack 1 too.

Was this done through Windows 10 updater? Did you have to do anything special?

Correct. After getting the Get Windows 10 app, you have to reserve the upgrade and it will notify you when you are ready to upgrade to Windows 10. Then, just follow the steps.
