Are Windows 10 OS & iTunes incompatible?

Hello everyone!

I recently upgraded my ASUS Zenbook from Windows 8 to Windows 10. (My zenbook isn't touchscreen so 8 seemed quite irrelevant.) It was given as a free upgrade, so I took it (not thinking that since Windows 10 OS is brand new, there may be complications.)

When reinstalling my programs, I downloaded the 64 bit version of itunes (as it requires for windows 10). It fully completed downloading and when you double click on the app to start it up then it gives an error message.

The error message says "The file "iTunes Library.itl" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes."

I'd really like to have my iTunes back...so any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards,
