Airport Utility Question on my mid 2010 13" MacBook Pro

HI All,

I've been tethered to ethernet and recently upgraded my TWC cable IP to wireless.

They gave me an install disk that wants to allow them to control my wifi & computer settings.

What do you think is best?

To use the airport utility with their router, or use their software setup?

I want the best protection and am not fond of third party software although I do use some for security.

I also use a VPN and I read that TWC blocks or interferes with Open VPN connections.

I would be interested in learning about this.
