Imac will not accept disc

Question

Disc drive will not accept disc. Was able to do one disc. and then the drive just froze and will not accept another one.

iMac, iOS 8.4

Is there a disc currently in the drive? If so, restart the macintosh, and when you hear the startup chime, hold the mouse button down.
