The stair app will only record if the floor to floor distance is 10'-0" or more. The stairs in my house are 9'-0" floor to floor. I regularly climb those stairs ten times a day or more.

The app should have the ability to sense stairs of different floor to floor heights. This is a serious failing.

Dumb question, but do you have your phone with you while you are climbing the stairs? The watch alone will not record changes in elevation.

The original poster made no mention of owning an Apple Watch when they posted over a year ago. And, as was pointed out, over a year ago, the phone they owned was not one capable of measuring flights climbed.
