Importing from Canon XF 305 (MXF Files)

Good day!

We are a small editing house which have been using Canon XF 105/305 for quite some time. We use SanDisk Extreme Pro and Lexar Professional cards for filming. Because we are filming up to 8 days training material, we use a 3.0 USB to import the footage into FCP X. This worked well- until the latest updates on FCP X... Now it is braeking the footage in 5min mxf files. This is a nightmare when one uses 3 cameras for multi-cam clips. Can someone may be help me with what I could possibly not doing correctly..

I don't have this equipment, but I believe FCP X can now import those directly.

I suspect that you may still have an old Canon plugin that may be incompatible. Try removing or disabling that and see how it goes.

FWIW, with an MXF file from a XF 200 shoot, I can:open it in QTX (converts to H.264) but cannot open directly from FCP X. However, with the plug-in I can open it in FCP X.
