I have broken the screen on my iPhone 5C...the phone will hook into bluetooth...i did not set up iCloud or back up with iTunes (my bad)

is there any way to get the data off my phone without using the touch screen??

No. The data is encrypted. It can't be read at all if you don't unlock the phone, which you can't do without the touchscreen.
