hi, anyone any idea how to get my new Macbook usb adapter to recognise a USB 2.0 card reader ? (or is that not possible ?). I just bought this little card-reader in a supermarket, connected it to the usb-c port via the Apple-supplied adapter, but no joy.
MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2015), OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)
Connect directly to the USB port without the adapter.
Look on the packaging material that came with the USB card reader. It may have requirements. See if it says; Mac compatible
I have maybe the same issue. I have an older, most likely a USB2, card reader. My macbook seems to not recognize it when it is plugged in to the USB-C adapter. Maybe an OS update in the works with a fix?........Not. 😟
