Does anyone have any info on eternal render looping in FCPX? I'm working on FCPX 10.1.4 OSX 10.9.5 with 12 GB of RAM. My camera is a Canon XA10 and the footage is 1920x1080 30 fps. Everytime I apply a transition to a video the render continually goes from 0-100% and back again, but never fully renders the work area. I've deleted render files and copied and pasted to a new project with the same result.

Among the first things we need to know: Have transitions worked for you before and if this is a new glitch or is this your first time working with FCPX?

This is the first time experiencing this issue. I've been using fcpx for a few years and this is the first time. It's doing that for any type of render as well
You could turn off background rendering in Preferences. Then delete the render files.

Won't hurt to trash the FCP X Preference files.
Hold the Option-Command keys as you launch FCP X.

I just had to trash the project and start over. Sad but true workaround.
Thanks for posting your partial solution. However, could you clarify for those who come after?
Did you completely purge the system of all traces of this project and start over completely including importing the material?
Yeah, I deleted the whole library and re-imported the footage. For future issues I would recommend doing that at the first sign of the render loop.
