Voicemail notification on iPhone 6 only shows a red bubble with no number within the phone app, and the app itself.

My voicemail within the phone app is not displaying the amount of notifications it has, only the red bubble as the picture shows. When I have multiple notifications from the app, It just shows a 1+, 2+, and so on. Does anyone know what's going on?

Greetings MandaloreTheUltimate,

My understanding is that you are concerned with your iPhone's voicemail notifications display, it sometimes shows a blank red dot and other times a number with a plus sign, is that correct?

There are a couple of things I would like to try in order to figure this out. The first would be to close all applications on the iPhone. See this article - Force an app to close in iOS.

If there is no change, restart the iPhone - Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If these do not resolve the issue, I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article - Get help with visual voicemail on your iPhone.
