Will Apple repair my phone for free without AppleCare

Hi All,

I have an iPhone 5 which has a major screen issue. It is displaying verticle lines and part of the screen's touch is not responding, making it physically unusable.

I have had it in a protective case from day one, and has not had accidental damage.

The question is, if I take it to a Genius Bar, will they repair - replace the device for free? The AppleCare has ran out so I am left without warranty.

Cheers - J

Then no. If its out of warranty, and the Apple Care coverage has also expired, then you will have to pay for an out of Warranty repair/replacement.
