I have a pop up asmm6697.biz that I can't get rid of. My computer is frozen with this on the screen. I can force quit but when I restart the popup is still there.
Any help would be appreciated.

If you are using Safari, force quit and restart Safari holding the SHIFT key.

New to macbook. Is there any settings I should change to avoid receiving this type of popup? I am still receiving the popup, but can clear the screen by closing and restarting safari. Thanks

No. They can appear using any browser running on any device that loads web pages. The only certain way to avoid them is to shun the sites that host them.
