is my ipad gone forever!?!?!>
Connect it, by its cable, to your computer - iTunes on that computer should (if it's a sufficiently high version) recognise the iPad and let you reset it back to factory defaults : If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
Start here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204306
Try all of the steps here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204306. You may have to do recovery mode several times if that does not work the first time.
I never lost my password. My children were playing with the iPad and locked it out. Now, how can I enter the password and go back to normal? It seems odd that Apple would not have a work around for incidents like this.
The work around is the help article I linked last year.
Apple is forcing us to restore the device to gain access again. which does not make any sense. if i can access the device after restoration why cant i access it no while the data is still saved??? very weired.
I tried that. It didn't work. It is still asking me to delete everything and start over. This is ridiculous. I have the password. Resetting and deleting everything off the iPad is just not fair.
The only way to resolve a device that has been disabled due to forgetting the passcode is to restore the device then reload the most recent backup. If you backup at least weekly, at most you may lose a day or two of data. You can set a backup to be done daily through iCloud so that way you never lose anything if you have to restore a device. You may not feel it is fair but that is the way it is. You are free to offer feedback to Apple at any time with suggestions for changes.

my ipad is disabled how to enable it
As above
after I tried to update IOS version on my son's iPad 2 16 G, in the middle of installation the iPad is stuck and say connect to iTunes, because there is no enough memory space to install new version, I didn't check to delete some apps, I tried connecting to different laptops using iTunes, it didn't work, I tried recovery mode, and DFT mode as well, none of them works, does my son's iPad is garbage, now I have no access to the I pad to be able to delete some apps.
there is no iColud, passcode, or any accounts on it, so it is not disabled because of passcodes or apple accounts
please anyone can help, is there an option in iTunes to fix that and I do not know?
