Can i stop notifications from lowering the volume when i'm listening to music?

Whenever i'm listening to music, in the car, on my headphones, or even through my bluetooth speaker. if i receive an email, or text message the volume is lowered. Can I disable this in Settings somewhere? Its super annoying because the volume never returns to regular levels again unless i summon Siri and then cancel. I just want the volume to remain at the same level even if i get a notification. I just want to listen to my music in peace without being interrupted by volume issues. Any help anyone can provide would be awesome!
