The facebook app on my ipad 2says cleaning and wont open...never seen this before

iPad 2, iOS 8.4

Give it time it is clearing the app cache. More info: iCloud: iWork for iOS document icon is dimmed, or ‘Cleaning’ appears under the app icon - Apple Support
