MacBook Pro 2013 logic board?

My 2013 Macbook Pro has freezing screen intermittently and brought it into to a certified specialist who tols me it was the logic board.

I know the recall repair only covers the problem for 15 inch and 17 inch. Ours is 13 and thus not covered for logic board repairs. Oddly enough....

I have the same issue on my son's 2013 macbook Pro. It appears to be the identical issue that the 15 and 17 inch models had repair programs for. Is there anything Apple can do?
