Will HP Scanjet 4800 work with Yosemite?

I've upgraded to 10.10, and now my scanner won't work. Will HP Scanjet 4800 work with Yosemite? If so, how?

Mac Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)

Have you tried Applications/Image Capture or VueScan?

VueScan worked for OCR, but the scanned photo images are not up to standard. "HP Easy Scan" doesn't work. I think I'll give up and but a new scanner. Thanks for your suggestions, though.

I use an old Scanjet 4100C on Yosemite 10.10.5 with Sane.

I wrote a GUI for it.

new Version, you can adjust the scan area.
