I have a new computor, and something happened to my library. Some music did not get transferred. But it is all on my I pod. if I sync...will I lose any music?

I got a new computer and when I tunes was installed some music didnt make it into my library...seems ones that were purchased as opposed to burned from cd's. And not saved in the cloud at some point. But all my music is here between my computor and I-pod. My question is ..can I sync without losing any music on my I-pod..since it has more of a library than my computor does.
