Mac Air Fan always AUDIBLE (Late 2010 OS X)

Hey guys, my fan is always audible. I use this term just to avoid the occasional post informing me that the fan is always running. I don't care, I just want it to hearing it and I've tried several things to no avail. First, activity monitor shows that I'm at 80-85 percent idle at all times. The computer is just running hot for some reason and i'm starting to think maybe it is some sort of virus but I have Norton and it has come up with nothing as well. I don't know if it's the constant fan at high speed and the heat but it blows through the battery when it's running like this and like I said, it never shows under 80 percent idle with a lot of times working into the 90's. Also, I have done an SMC reset. Didn't work. Any other ideas?
