Q: Apple HomeKit with Smartthings or Philips Hue

Hi, has anyone seen any reference to Smartthings products (hub/accessories) working with Apple HomeKit? Or for that matter even Philips Hue lighting products? I am going to invest in these things as the usefulness and management capabilities really interest me and I would also like to retain the value that HomeKit brings to my home's Apple products if possible. I am playing around with IFTTT and have really enjoyed the possibilities there and would love to have HomeKit be apart of it.

    I have a SmartThings hub that I used to control my Hue lights and some other SmartThings devices. I've been looking around the SmartThings forums for an answer to the same question you have. From what I read, there is going to be a new version of the hub, however, SmartThings has stated in the forums that they have no intentions of making HomeKit a part of their announcement of the new hub.

     

    I was disappointed and actually started to shop around to see what could replace my SmartThings devices.
