Icons and Colors
Does anybody know if the FCP team is working on some type of icon that can be assigned to the librarys or different colors other than the purple file thing?

No idea what the FCP X team is doing, and speculation is against the forum rules.
But if you want to apply a custom icon to your libraries that is something that OS X has always allowed you to do. You do have to provide the icon image, of course, but the way you do this is very simple. Copy the desired image; do a Get Info on the library in the Finder, click to select the icon and paste.
