Now that I have upgraded to Yosemite, the new photos doesn't support the previous book themes I used. So...all my books using a particular theme won't load.
iPhoto was working just fine before upgrading to Yosemite.
Any solutions here?

Continue to use iPhoto for those items. You can continue to use iPhoto for everything or just for those, it's up to you. Here are the instructions for getting iPhoto opened back up on your Mac:
