Q: iMessages come up as email account and not phone numbers

When I send an email the receiver says it comes up as my email not my phone number. How can I change it. When I go to settings>messages>phone number is gray. I can't click on it to make sure that it synced to my phone. Help!

iPhone 5s, iOS 8, latest software 8.0.2 i believe

Try the tip on this post: I can't select my phone number for iMessage (-sigh- Yeah, this problem again)
