How I can recover a corrupted m4a file?

My battery died while I was using Audio Recorder 3.2. It looks like the file saved. The file size is listed at 7.6MB. But when I try to open it, nothing plays. I have a MacBook Pro OSX Yosemite (Mid 2010 laptop). Thanks!

MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2010), OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)
