Adding Currency Symbol in Pages

You did not state whether you want to add currency symbol(s) in regular text, or in a table cell.

In regular text, you will need to choose from the Edit menu, Emojis & Symbols. The Character panel that appears has a gear icon in the upper left corner. Click Customizations…, and under Symbols, check Currency Symbols, and then Done. The Currency Symbols category will now appear on the left of the panel. You can then double-click any of these symbols, or their Font Variations to have the symbol directly inserted into Pages text.

If you need a currency symbol in a Table cell, you click to select the cell or cell range to receive currency formatting. On the right Format panel, there will be a Cell tab. Under Data Format, select Currency, and then the appropriate currency name. The appropriate symbol for that currency will be used.
