I enter my verified password for my Apple ID and I'm told repeatedly that it's incorrect

I Am unable to access any apps because my verified password is not accepted. I'm told repeatedly that it's incorrect.

iPad, iOS 8.4

SIgn out of your Apple ID, restart your iPad and then sign in again.


Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out.


Restart your iPad.

  1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
  2. Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
  3. After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.


Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Sign in again.

Try this now. Force restart your iPad and then try again. You will not lose any data when you do this.


Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-20 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen. Then let go of the buttons and let the iPad start up completely.
