Record Live + Garageband Backing Track

I can record my guitar live into imovie, with video of me playing, while garageband is playing a backing track. But the garageband backing track doesn't make it through to iMovie. What must I do to record live guitar and video and have the garageband backing track be recorded into the movie, too.
