Disable notification center. Still get icon.

I'd be happy with any way of disabling notification center.

I disabled notification center but didn't get rid of icon. Doesn't do anything but turn blue for a moment when I click on the icon. I did:

launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.notificationcenterui.plist

I'm still getting the list like icon on the top right. 😠 I've rebooted and it's still there.

Better than nothing, but still would like to get rid of it.

Just like a little peace and quiet when I do my computing.
